Reporting Crime on Campus - We encourage reporting of incidents of crime on campus to the University Police through its Silent Witness  program.

Students – Reporting Your Concerns.
Students are encouraged to report any concerns by contacting the University campus office responsible for the area relevant to the complaint. If dissatisfied with the response, the student may contact the relevant area supervisor, director, department chair, or dean for resolution.

Whistle-blower - In order for your complaint to be evaluated for Whistle-blower determination, you must meet certain statutory criteria under Florida Statute 112.3187, which requires the complainant to disclose their identity and relationship to FAU.

Recognizing that our resources are limited, and investigations can be time-consuming and sometimes pose legal challenges, we request that any report of suspected irregularities be genuine and unbiased.  If we choose to follow up on your complaint, coordination will be made with appropriate personnel including legal counsel in gathering and analyzing documents and data for review.

If you choose to remain anonymous, do not provide your name and contact information. However, be sure to describe your complaint in detail and specify any pertinent dates, staff with whom you dealt (including their e-mail and/or telephone contact information), etc. We may not be able to investigate complaints that are too vague or cannot be corroborated.
